Energized Thursday

Good morning friends!
It's beautiful this morning in Michigan.
It's only 8:00 and I'm already feeling very motivated and happy.
Yesterday was a good day.
School was school, always draining but I definitely push thru :)
I had a very tough workout at track practice. Did almost a half a mile of lunges and frog jumps, 300, & 200 repeates, push ups, and bear crawls.
It was interesting! But good, because I'm soar today (I love being soar).
It was ice bath Wednesday also! Stayed in for about 10 minutes to help recover my muscles after the tough workout.
It was holy cold! It was awful the first 3 minutes but at the end I just couldn't feel my legs anymore.
I picked up my dress that was altered for prom and it fits pretty good! It is a beautiful yellow with lace. Can't wait for you guys to see it :)
Dinner was so good last night.
Chicken kabobs, the healthy way!
I was in heaven every second!

First you want to get 3 sweet peppers ( I like to get all different colors) and onion, and chicken, and probably some skewers (if you don't have any now)

Then I cut up the chicken into cubes, enough that it will fit on my skewer and not fall off. I did the same thing with the peppers and onion. Then I decided why not grill asparagus also?!?! Look at all the beautiful colors :)
I placed them horizontal on my grill (as do the asparagus so they don't fall through the cracks) and started cookin away!
I didn't want the grill to be too hot so they don't burn.
And only 45 minutes later they were done! It was so good and flavorful
I ended up even throwing a little salad on there with a little bit of mozzarella and turkey bacon.

The food was so good I almost went for seconds, but I thought why not use these as left overs?

I didn't go to Plyo yesterday because I took a ice bath before and didn't want to hurt my muscles.
Today holds a pretty good day and I've got a few recipes in mind, so stay tuned ;)

Forgive me!

Hey friends!
Forgive me for not sending out a post lastnight! This girl was tired.
My track meet was interesting lastnight.
(And let me throw in there I was 'that girl' after her races walking around with a full jar of peanut butter lol! I love me some PB!!!)

The team we went against had no relay girls set up (4x100, 4x200, so on and so forth) so relays just ran by ourselves!
It felt weird, it was quiet, and not competive. But I did run the open 100 and I never run that. I always run the open 200 so it was new for me.
I got 1st from my team and 3rd overal with a time of 13.65. I hope to get that lower some day. But it was a good start!

Today is PLYO DAY!!!!!!
So excited to lift tonight and get a good workout in, even though I'm sick and feel like poop.
My meals were ok yesterday due to the fact I had my track meet, I had qudoba but it's better then McDonald's! Right?
I have some good meals ready for today.
2 meals consisting of turkey burgers.
Now I just have to figure out what to use with my chicken!
Any ideas? That would be great!
I need to start creating some healthy muffins and some help with that would be awesome too!
Now it's time for this girl to get some Nutrition research done!
Have a good day! I'll be back on tonight!

Interesting day ahead

Hello friends! Today it is suppose to be a beautiful sunny day in Michigan!
I have a track meet today which should be interesting because I woke up feeling really sick. (I hate being sick!)
Michigan weather is always crazy.
One day if can be 32 and snowing, and the next day it could be 65-70 and sunny.
You never know what the weather will be like here. I think that is why I'm sick because of this stupid weather changing on me, over and over.
I'm hoping today goes by fast because I have plyometrics to do tomorrow and I miss lifting so much!
Lastnight I made healthy tacos which were let me just say-- AMAZING!

Wheat tortillas
Mozzarella
Lettuce
Chicken
And honey mustard!
This was really exciting for me because all day I was wondering what I could use with my chicken, and this perfect combination came to me!
The honey mustard gives it a sweet yet tangy taste!
If you have any suggestions on the tacos I would love some feedback ;)
I also topped my night off with a turkey burger and Halo Top ice cream!
I was so excited when I seen this in stores because I have been following this company through social media for a while and I had no clue it was only a block away!
Man was this good and I had no shame!
But I promise I didn't eat the whole pint ;)

I'm looking for some more healthy recipes and researching today so I can figuring out more things to do with my meals.
I would also love to try a healthy cookie recipe!
Do you have any suggestions?

I'll be back today with some more love!
Stay tuned!
